How to wash your leather dog sofa

To keep the sofa looking as good as new, it is recommended to clean it regularly with a dry cloth or a cloth dampened with lukewarm water or vacuumed at a low temperature.

Protect it from direct sunlight and heat sources and try to avoid contact with moisture.

It is important to act on stains immediately so that it is not absorbed.

Type of stains:

For persistent stains such as biros ink or felt-tip pens: use a cloth dampened with warm water and a little alcohol, white vinegar or cotton wool with make-up remover milk.

For classic stains such as tomato, chocolate, coffee, oil and soft drinks, the best solution is to use a damp cloth with PH-neutral soap.

Never rub or scratch the stain or press it aggressively.

Important to avoid:

Solvents with chlorine or alcohol, aerosols, window cleaners, polishes, waxes and any product with chemical content. Baby wipes or make-up removers are also not recommended.

Do not apply dry foam, as this will alter the protective treatment.

The inner part, coated in 100% cotton and filled with polyester fiber, can be machine washed in its entirety without separating its individual components, using a delicate cycle at 40°C.

However, be sure to wash the pillow alone in the machine, without adding other items that could make the load too heavy.

We recommend using liquid detergent placed in the designated compartment, rather than directly in the drum, to prevent any residue from remaining.

Set the spin cycle to moderate to avoid excessive stress on the fibers.

After washing, it's important to massage the filling fibers to promote proper repositioning, restoring the pillow to its original condition. This step only takes a few minutes but ensures an excellent final result.

Now, onto the drying phase. Lay your pillow flat in the open air to prevent deformation due to water weight. Position the drying rack in the shade to prevent direct sunlight exposure, which can cause yellowing over time.

It's best to wash pillows on warmer days to ensure faster drying. Washing in winter may prolong drying time and risk unpleasant odors.

Remember to flip the pillow several times on both sides to ensure proper and thorough drying.

Once the pillows are dry, cover them with clean pillowcases and, only then, with pillow shams.
